Esquimalt Lagoon Migratory Bird Sanctuary的点评
点评：Charlies Trail by Royal Roads Uni Victoria Colwood and the Lagoon
A gentle peaceful walk in the woods and Shoreline of the lagoon
We were shown this walk by our Canadian family as we have done a lit of the Lagoon on all of our trips including this one.
This is a gorgeous easy trek following a good trail with some boardwalks and bridges across the stream. You can extend your walk into the forest or walk along Esquimalt Lagoon as we did or go to the lovely Edwardian Colwood University building and grounds
Our Canadian family have seen eagles and lots of wildlife here sadly on this occasion we did not see any other than a distant Turkey vulture!
Parking by the lagoon is free and as usual in Canada there is plenty of space for a picnic. We were there in January and so the water was flowing well and there were a lot of lovely little waterfalls to photograph. A slow easy paced 45 mins to an hour to get around this but plenty of scope to extend and to make it into a moderate walk
