Don’t miss History Hill! A must see in Hill End.

点评：I highly recommend this museum. It is rare to find someone so knowledgeable and so passionate about history as Malcolm, and this shows in his displays. Usually local museums are small with only a few artefacts. Not this one, there are thousands and thousands of original artefacts on display. Just as you finish a room - you come across another room of artefacts. He also took time to tell me more about my ancestor who was the first licensee of the local Royal Hotel at Hill End, the history of the hotel, and what his life would be like as a gold miner, and his son who was a blacksmith, and other sons who ran a Cobb and Co resting station. And just when you thought you were finished there is an actual mine to walk through to really give you a feel of life as a miner. We enjoyed this museum and mine so much we spent a couple of hours there, and went through both the museum and mine twice.
If anyone is going to Hill End this museum is a must.
