点评:The place is relatively nice. However, ticket cost (195 DKK, i.e. around 25€) is exhorbitant. When compared the place with the royal palace in Brussels (ticket 10€, but only since 2026, before it was free), this palace is a nuissance. Much smaller, much less to see (and from the 1 hour visit time some 15 minutes are dedicated to garden - that anyhow is free - and the orangerie), much more xpensive and on top of all you are not allowed to take pictures in the building (in Brussels you may). The official explanation - given by the guide - is that "this is the private place of the somebody (the king) and you do not take pictures in a private home". Well, apparently the Belgian king does not bother, while certainly in none case the "king" is there when you visit. You only see the furnishing. Just a comment: in a private home, you do not make official state receptions. Because Fredensborg is used by the Danish king for this, therefore is not at all "private". On contrary the place is 100% used for "public" interest. So please avoid it. In the adjacent Frederiksborg which is much much bigger and much much richer the entry ticket is 125 DKK (with applieable discounts, too, while in Fredensborg no discounts). And this is a royal place, too.
