Probably the best wine tasting we've ever experienced!

点评：Plantaze has the biggest vineyard in Europe, with more than 2,300 hectares and 11 million vines. They produce more than 17 million bottles of wine annually and, even for those of us who know almost nothing about wine, we could tell that it’s really good. At the Plantaze Winery, we enjoyed the best wine tasting we’ve ever encountered. Not only was the wine excellent, the hosts were very generous, plying us not only with great wine but also with great local cheeses, crackers, olives, nuts, and dried fruit.
Aside from the tasting, the attraction for tourists at the Plantaze Winery is their aging cellars, which are in a repurposed former Yugoslavian air force bunker (they do love their bunkers in the Balkans!). Dug deep into the mountain, the bunker provided impenetrable protection for a squadron of 27 fighter jets and associated munitions from 1960 to 1999. Now, the most dangerous thing stored in the bunker is probably Plantaze’s Vranac Reserve with 14.5% alcohol!
