点评：If you’re even slightly curious — book it.
We swam with EcoSeeker and it was outstanding from start to finish. Steve, the owner and captain, has clearly grown up in and around these waters, and his respect and care for the environment and wildlife is obvious in everything he does. Phil was superb — calm, attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate.
We did get in the water and had a short dolphin encounter. It wasn’t long — but honestly, it didn’t matter in the slightest. We were so enthralled by everything we saw and experienced that it didn’t dampen our enjoyment at all. The whole trip was picturesque, informative and delivered in such a calm, respectful and personal way that we came away literally overwhelmed with joy.
We’ve previously done the dolphin swim in Kaikōura, which we also loved. That was brilliant in its own way. But this felt different — more intimate, more personal, more connected to the place and the people.
It was exceptional value for money and, without exaggeration, one of the very best experiences we’ve had in three months of travelling around New Zealand.
