Price gouging for a view and a walk

点评：Classic case of someone seeing people enjoy themselves somewhere for free, deciding "can't have that", buying the land, then seeing just how much they can get away with charging with almost no effort.
There is supposed to be low-season pricing, nope. Turnstile entrance with a card payment. €10per person. I wish that we'd done what others did and pile both of us through in one go (there's room - do this).
While the lake is very pretty, and walking up the tailings mounds provide a good viewpoint, the lack of amenities and signage was woeful for the price.
Toilets - long drop/ port-a-potty only, no water to wash hands, no toilet paper. What appear to be proper toilets are locked.
Signage/ information. There's a long line of billboards as you walk to one of the vantage points. They are prints of social media posts about how lovely the place is (the height of laziness). There's plenty of interest here, but it's left to one or two small signs (that you might not even see). Walks aren't well signposted either.
Cafe - closed.
Prison - additional fee. Didn't bother based on other reviews.
This could be a real tourist attraction and major drawcard for the area. I have no issue with the services being there (cafes, paid extra water activities) to generate revenue, and indeed, they should open it up for additional services (food trucks etc), and make entrance free or incredibly cheap (€2pp). Whoever owns this is doing the local community a massive disservice.
