点评:Despite much time spent in Rickmansworth in the past, JH had never visited the Aquadrome and decided to finally do so on a sunny Spring afternoon when nearby. Used the entrance on Riverside Drive proclaimed by a huge new gateway sign and bridge, after parking in a nearby street. Found subsequently that the main entrance is far away on the other side, accessible via Harefield Road and of Frogmore Lane (behind Tescos) and is better served because it has a free car park and some visitor facilities.
We had a lengthy stroll around the northern perimeter of the two lakes on well-maintained footpaths which was pleasant enough but the view of the water from the pathways was often limited by extensive woodland and thickets. Despite being a nature reserve, there was little to see at the time of our visit. We did not feel the visit was worth the long wait and are unlikely to return. It was a popular spot for walkers, runners and picknickers despite our disappointment with it.
