Great Potential, Terrible Greens
Meadows Farms Golf Courses的点评
点评：Meadow Farms Golf Course has a lot going for it on paper. Three 9-hole courses allow for more players to cycle through, the staff is friendly, and the pro shop, lounge, and grille are all impressive. The course itself is generally in good shape, with well-maintained tee boxes and fairways, and the rough is challenging enough to punish bad shots. Signature features like the waterfall and the longest hole in America add some interesting character.
Unfortunately, all of that is overshadowed by the absolutely atrocious condition of the greens. They are, without exaggeration, some of the worst I have ever played. This even includes sand greens in Florida. Patchy, dying, and inexplicably sprouting crabgrass everywhere, they make putting feel like pure guesswork rather than a test of skill.
It is downright shameful for the course to charge $86 a round, seemingly justified by the novelty of the longest hole alone. At best, this should be a $45 course for 18 holes, and had I known all the greens looked like the first few, I would have asked for my money back or disputed the charge altogether.
To make matters worse, the two golfers I played with mentioned that the greens always look this way. Slow greens are one thing, but this level of neglect or apathy is inexcusable. If the course can maintain its tee boxes, fairways, and rough so well, there is simply no excuse for the greens to be in such a laughable and embarrassing state.
Meadow Farms needs to take a hard look at its priorities before expecting players to pay premium prices for such a subpar experience.
