Winspit Quarry的点评
点评：We walked down from Swanage along the South West Coastal Path on a beautiful clear day, and Winspit Quarry was the perfect reward at the end of the hike. The path itself is stunning, with dramatic clifftop views across the Jurassic Coast, but dropping down into the old quarry feels like stepping into another world.
The limestone cliffs and sea caves create an incredibly atmospheric spot that’s both rugged and peaceful.
The quarry has a fascinating industrial history, and it’s cool to know that some big movies have been filmed here — the dramatic scenery has doubled for various locations over the years. It adds an extra layer of intrigue while you’re exploring the rocky ledges and listening to the waves crashing below.
Access is a bit steep and uneven in places (proper walking boots recommended), and there aren’t any facilities once you’re down there, but that’s part of the wild charm. It’s a fantastic destination for anyone who loves coastal walks, geology, or just somewhere a bit different from the usual tourist spots.
