点评：A beautiful beach inside of large cliffs that reach around it like horseshoes. The coastal multi-day hiking trail descends into this beach from both of those cliffs. The beach is roughly square, as wide as it is long until it finally passes a sand bar and goes into serious breaking waves. A Green-yellow-red flag will advise on the safety of getting your toes wet versus dunking and even swimming. It is, however WINDY. Every single person seem prepared for that with some kind of wind barrier (umbrella, fabric ‘fence’, etc.). Plenty of free parking at the entrance, where there is a cafe that serves food, wine, ice cream, and has a WC (bathroom) for anyone on the beach. You can also rent their chaise lounges (2 per thatch ‘umbrella’ for about 15e per half day for 2 chairs/people. NOT crowded on sunny Saturday in early June (swim season is June 1 - Sept 30). A 5-10 minute drive south from Zambujeira do Mar or Sao Teotonio, this is a ‘municipal’ beach of Odemira and seems well cared for. A sign noted that there is a ‘pet friendly’ beach somewhere else although we did see 2 dogs here.
