点评：If we had never been to a nice winery before, our opinion might be different. However, of the half dozen wineries we have been to, this one would rank at the bottom of our list. The experience was just OK. We drove an hour to get there and another hour back to our hotel. In hindsight, we probably would’ve found a better use of our time. However, the drive across the mountain to get there and back was beautiful.
The good:
The property is unique. They have lots of artwork that was interesting to see. The history and the tour of the property was nice. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Challenges:
We had to really concentrate on every word to understand our guide. Even then, we probably understood only a portion of what he was talking about. We found the wine throughout Italy was consistently very good. However, the only place that we would consider the wine subpar was during their wine tasting. There were two other couples (6 of us total) and their opinions was lower than ours.
If I was staying close by and was looking for something to fill a few hours of my day, you might want to consider this tour even though it was a bit pricey for what you get. The property, history, and artwork is interesting. If your goal is to actually taste good wine, then I would recommend you look for other alternatives.
