Rude staff, close unexpectedly earlier than time stated and don’t advertise cash only under £10 spends. Disappointing

点评：Sadly, this wasn’t a nice experience. Having 2 young children, we rarely go into many shops as it’s just not enjoyable however, we chose to go into this shop - which I thought would be a nice little peruse.
It’s extremely overpriced and some things aren’t even antiques but each to their own.
The problem came when my 3 year old chose an old toy which was less than £10. I didn’t have cash on me and I sadly didn’t find out until my poor child handed over the toy and politely said ‘please can I buy this’, that I was met with ‘cash only under £10’. I didn’t see any sign of this or I wouldn’t have done that to my child knowing I had no cash on me.
The elder lady who was behind the till, was rude and seemed quite happy to decline us purchasing the toy even though I offered to pay more to cover the transaction fee. I was then met with ‘I’ll put it back for you’ - oh how kind! Really?!
The shop then suddenly said closed on the front just after we left which was 90 minutes earlier than their advertised closing time.
Sadly, we won’t be returning as I am not giving my money to rude staff. I know shops can choose their payment methods but a bit of compassion wouldn’t have gone amiss - letting a polite 3 year old walk out without the toy he proudly walked around the shop with and couldn’t wait to take home.

很遗憾，我们不会再光顾了，因为我可不会把钱给这么没礼貌的店员。我知道商店有权决定接受哪些支付方式，但稍微多一点同情心也不为过吧——毕竟那个懂礼貌的三岁孩子，手里拿着他引以为傲、迫不及待想带回家的玩具，最后却只能空手而归。
