点评：Located in the Leicestershire countryside is Stoneywell a former private residence dedicated to the arts and crafts style.
You have to book to visit the site and there are limited slots available as the property is small and allows a maximum of 10 of ten people per timed slot.
There is a car park but it is not on the site, but there is a shuttle bus to take you to the property, but it is a 5 minute walk if you prefer. However there are no pavements as they are old country lanes.
If you are a National Trust Member, you will also need to have your membership card scanned as the email you received with a barcode isn't sufficient for entry purposes.
There are some stables before the entrance, a very small tearoom and a path leading the house and woodland.
The house isn't a huge property, but it is full of interesting furniture and objects relating to the arts and crafts movement.
There are three floors in total and you can either self guide or take a tour.
The last owner is still alive and is aged 102, His children who also lived there bring him back once a year to revisit his former home.
The grounds have gardens, a wood and views of Bradgate Park. There are places for children to play and explore.
I had my usual coffee and scone in the tearoom, which I had to myself, there's also a small shop within the tearoom.
