A Heartfelt Thank You to Zahir and Riyasat

点评：Nanga Parbat is one of 14 mountains in the world that rise above 8,000 meters, and it is the one you can get remarkably close to by road. I wanted to see Nanga Parbat from the side of the Rupal Face, the largest mountain face in the world. And I wanted to see it at sunset.
But no matter how much I searched online, I couldn't find the information I needed to make this trip to Pakistan a reality. There is a lot of information available about traveling in Nepal, but very little about this journey in northern Pakistan. The one clue I somehow managed to find was HUNZA ADVENTURE TOURS.
Because I wanted a very small-scale trip with a very tight schedule, I honestly thought they would probably refuse my request. So, with some hesitation, I contacted the owner, Zahir. Zahir made the entire itinerary I had dreamed of possible. The trip was absolutely incredible — beyond words.
The truth is, the information you really need is often not available on the internet. For example, ChatGPT couldn't tell me just how spectacular the cliffside road from Jaglot to Astore is; how breathtaking it is when the Rupal Face suddenly appears on the way to Tarishing; or just how powerfully the Rupal Face rises before you from Herrligkoffer Base Camp, only about 5 km away.
The long drive from Islamabad was also made into an enjoyable and unforgettable part of the journey by my guide and driver, Riyasat Naseem. We made so many great memories together. But I think that when you are in a difficult situation and someone helps you, that is something you never forget. Riyasat, thank you so much for everything. And your driving skills are absolutely outstanding!
Because I had such a hard time finding information before this trip, I hope that, even though I cannot show my face publicly because of my work, I can share some of my experiences in writing for anyone who may be considering a trip to northern Pakistan.
I was also very happy with the reasonable cost of the trip.
But no matter how much I searched online, I couldn't find the information I needed to make this trip to Pakistan a reality. 事实上……你真正需要的信息往往在网上找不到。比如，ChatGPT无法告诉我从贾格洛特到阿斯托雷的悬崖边的公路有多么壮丽；在前往塔里辛格的路上，鲁帕尔峰面突然出现在眼前时有多么令人叹为观止；又或者，从仅5公里外的赫里格科夫基地营抬头望去，鲁帕尔峰面又是如何巍峨地矗立在眼前。
我的向导兼司机也让从伊斯兰堡出发的漫长车程变成了旅途中一段愉快且难忘的体验。里亚萨特·纳西姆。我们一起创造了许多美好的回忆。不过我觉得，当你身处困境而有人伸出援手时，这种恩情是永远都不会忘记的。里亚萨特，感谢你所做的一切。你的驾驶技术也绝对一流！
