点评：The best reason to visit T.O. Fuller State Park is an opportunity to tour the Chucalissa Indian Village, the preserved archaeological excavations and the C.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa. The park, which dates to 1938, consists of 1,138 acres of mostly forest located in South Memphis on Mitchell Road. It is the only state park within the city limits and is suitable for wildlife and, more importantly, was the first state park in the United States east of the Mississippi River that was open to African Americans. Amenities include sheltered picnic areas, tennis courts, swimming pool, basketball courts, softball field, six miles of hiking trails and camping facilities. The park's nature center is open in the summer and features natural history exhibits and programs. But the park's centerpiece is Chucalissa, which has revealed many Native American artifacts on the site. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1994.
