点评:I am guessing I processed about 20 buckets. I found a pink Tourmaline fragment that was fairly clear and might be facetable. I was thinking beforehand that I would just take it easy and take my time, but ended up moving faster and faster toward the end of the four hours. I will probably go again and see just how many buckets I can process.
The staff was very friendly but really seemed to obsess about keeping the water tray free of mud, claiming it would turn to "concrete". I got the impression they just didn't want to clean it up afterwards - maybe I'm wrong.
Was it worth the $75 for four hours of digging? Compared to the sapphire digs in Montana that charge $30 per bucket, I would say so. Based on the value of what I found, probably not. Oceanview does "salt" the dig pile with clear quartz, and I found two points, but I'm looking for the colored gems THIS area produces.
They have a separate deal for the same price where you can look through the old tailings piles scattered around. I did not do this because there is no way to wash the dust off. I think they should get a water truck and spray down these piles, and then let folks look. I would pay $150 for that.
