Sheffield Greens Golf Club的点评
点评：Was up north visiting some friends and decided to check out Sheffield's Golf Course. The course itself was beautiful and genuinely enjoyable to play.
We teed off on the first hole and, since nobody was behind us, combined into a group of six (three groups of two) for the second hole. When we arrived at the third hole, the groundskeeper/owner, Tom, was waiting in the middle of the cart path with his arms crossed and an obvious look of frustration.
As we approached, he told us to disband our group immediately or he would remove us from the course. When we explained why we thought it was acceptable, he simply replied, "You saw the policy when you came onto the course. If I see that again, I'm going to ask you all to leave."
I completely understand the importance of enforcing course policies. However, there are professional and respectful ways to communicate with customers, and unfortunately that was not the approach taken here. We were spoken to as though we had committed a serious offense rather than playing with a slightly larger group.
To make matters worse, he continued to follow us throughout the round, even stopping his mower at times to watch us from a distance. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and took away from what should have been an enjoyable day on an otherwise excellent course.
Overall, the course itself is very nice, but the owner's aggressive approach and tendency to monitor players closely appears to be a recurring complaint. If you're looking for an enjoyable and relaxed round in the area, I would recommend Six Foot Bay instead.
