点评：I went over Hardknott in rainy weather and to be fair it was fine, it is a very challenging drive, This was enhance because of the weather and people (rightly) were driving cautiously meaning no run ups to larger hills and using biting points to control the car half way up steep, this was a challenging drive and good clutch control and good breaks are a necessity, i would also avoid this if your in a vehicle that sits low to the ground because some of the hills come from no where and need a standard ride height to get over them with out bottoming out, another thing to watch out for are nervous drivers who came over this road without knowing where they where going or what expect, while i was on this road one driver went to the wrong side of the road to avoid driving on the edge of a very big hill which all though I kind of understand was a very dangerous thing to do that caused havoc for every other driver on a very narrow section, but all in all I love this road and would recommend it to anyone who likes a challenging drive and great views but if you are nervous driver avoid it, if your scared of heights avoid it and make sure your vehicle it capable of doing this road I swear all I could smell (and taste) at one point was the clutches of cars around me!!!
