Excellent laboratory tour of how holographs & laser effects are created

点评：The Holographic Studios provides an excellent laboratory tour of how holographs & laser effects are created by "Doctor Laser" for commercial customers. I highly recommend the guided tour ($35 for ~90 minutes) given by Doctor Laser himself. He's both entertaining & informative, and otherwise you'll get lost wandering around the crowded laboratory by yourself.
Some of the highlights of this tour is seeing how various laser and photographic techniques are used to create holograms. It was interesting to see how the initially simple early holograms have evolved to the multi-colored and animated holograms used in commercial applications.
Doctor Laser punctuates the laser & holograms technical overviews with some humorous anecdotes about how he has worked with various companies & artists in creating custom laser shows & holograms to their specifications. Even the cramped laboratory space has some interesting anecdotes going back ~100 years to its time as a metal forge shop for horseshoes and later medical equipment.
If you have an interest in this emerging holography technology I highly recommend this tour.
