点评：This is such an underrated tourist destination. This was our 3rd time visiting the museum and the staff always make our experience an exceptional one. You can spend a good few hours walking around marvelling over the huge range of exhibits in the museum. If this stuff makes you nerdy there is a plethora of education within these walls. There is a play center for the little ones, a gift shop, you can go for a ride in a humvee or shoot in their firing range with very experienced staff. This was my first time shooting and it has already become a cherished core memory that I was able to make with my son and mother. Over the course of two days we took a toddler, a teenager, a Millennial, a Gen X and a Boomer. My 70+ year old mother also had a go in the shooting range! Everyone had a great time no matter their age. The museum has 3 day passes so you have ample time to fit everything in and you can space it out over a few days. The Australian Amour & Artillery Museum is perfect for enthusiasts or people just seeking a new and different experience. On one of the days they even had a coffee van so we could relax in the space while we chatted about our emerging target skills (we were also given our shooting target paper to take home!). Archie and the rest of the staff are so knowledgeable and I can’t wait to return and do it all over again. NOTE: Take food/snacks if you’re taking little kids or plan on staying a while - but they do have a vending machine and coffee station if you forget. Also, don’t book in your shooting on the day you’re flying home as the gunpowder residue may evoke a more thorough strip search! We travelled the day after and had no issues.
