点评：Such fun! We arrived in the hottest part of this mid-July day but dug for over 2 hrs and found lots of wonderful rocks. Until we get back home and really scrub them we wont know exactly what we found. Mostly quartz and my hubby found a skeletal quartz which is a collector's piece. The dirt is unsalted and incredibly orange from the rich clay content. Expect to get wonderfully dirty and tuck your pants into your socks and use gloves as there are some stinging ants in some of he mounds which are very painful! I got stung today and only now, 5 hrs later the stinging has stopped! It did not detract from the fun we had and I would come back again and again! David, the gentleman who greeted us was instantly likeable and personable. We left feeling we had met a new friend! The price was incredibly reasonable too. For us seniors, it was $10 each for the whole day! What a great deal! If you haven't yet been to Diamond Hill Mine in Abbeville, SC check it out! You will get hooked! It is in a beautiful countryside off a dirt road and very accessible for all ages! Come and play in the earth...it will make you forget your woes and leave you wanting more!
