Inspiring visit to St. Jude’s with our kids
The School Of St Jude的点评
点评：We spent one day at St Jude’s with our two children and were so impressed! The students were incredibly warm and welcoming, eager to hold hands, practice English, and share their school with us. Our kids loved playing soccer, doing art and music, and enjoying lunch and ginger tea with the kids. The day included a campus tour, several short presentations on their history and programs, lunch/recess/class, and a home visit with a student.
The staff was exceptionally accommodating and informative. They coordinated a driver for us to and from our hotel and stored our luggage while there. They also have a fabulous donation team that provided an Amazon wish list so we could bring a suitcase full of needed books and made it easy to contribute a pre made student pack of school supplies and a home pack of oil, sugar, salt, a solar light and other basic needs. Of course we brought a few soccer balls too!
The home visit was especially eye-opening and highly recommended. Seeing the poverty faced by the surrounding communities really brought home how profoundly a St Jude’s education can change a child’s future - with support from grade school to college and into their early careers.
This was one of the most meaningful parts of our Tanzania trip. St Jude’s is a shining light, providing life-changing opportunities through education. Highly recommend visiting or considering sponsorship of a student!
