点评：This tour is one of those where you’re walking through it and wondering if this is real life, or just a dream. First off you get to meet the brothers who quickly become your friends - Humberto and Enrique. Man - these are two of the coolest Ticos I have met. So friendly, welcoming and all around amazing dudes. Then they take you into their backyard which is deep into the jungle and words cannot explain how incredible it is. The sounds, the trail, the views the waterfalls (omg these are so amazing) - it’s truly something you have to experience first hand to understand the true beauty of it. It’s hands down one of the best experiences we have ever done with all of our travels and words just can’t explain how amazing it is. After an amazing hike we got to do some cliff jumping which we as a family loved, as there was a height for all of us to conquer - yes, even our 5 year old did a jump. After an amazing adventure they take you back and you get to eat one of the most delicious, authentic, Costa Rican meals you will ever have. You get to chat with the brothers and it truly feels like you are at a family dinner. As you leave and drive back to home base you sit there and think “did that actually happen?!? What an unbelievable experience”
Humberto and Enrique - we can’t thank you enough for giving us one of the best memories our family has ever experienced.
Couple tips:
- 4x4 is a must
- Hiking difficulty - I’d say easy to medium. We had 2 70+ year olds and a 5 year old with us, but Enrique and Humberto set a great pace and always made sure there was a helping hand over the “difficult” parts. This makes a world of a difference
-Getting there - near the end Google Maps will say take a slight right - don’t. Keep left and head over the metal bridge and you are almost there.
-Bring water
-Get ready to have the time of your life!
