Parents, Be Careful When Your Children Buy Food Here!
Escape Maze Incorporated的点评
点评:My 9-year-old son visited this place today on a school field trip, and what happened at the food court was extremely disappointing and concerning.
My son had a $10 bill and purchased a package of Skittles costing $2.15 plus tax. He should have received approximately $7.57 in change, assuming 13% HST, but he was given only $2.25. His friend also paid with a $10 bill for the same candy and received only a $5 bill in change.
My son actually noticed that his change was incorrect, but he felt uncomfortable questioning an employee about it. He is only 9 years old, and children should not have to feel intimidated or awkward about speaking up when something is wrong.
What concerns me most is that two separate children were both short-changed while purchasing the exact same item on the same day. My son was short-changed by approximately $5.32, and his friend by approximately $2.57. I cannot say whether this was intentional or gross carelessness, but it is certainly concerning and deserves an explanation.
It is unacceptable for children to leave a food counter without the correct change, whether through deliberate actions or a lack of care. Young customers may be less likely to challenge an adult or understand how to handle such a situation.
Parents, please do not assume your children will be given the correct change when buying food here. Make sure they are supervised, and encourage them to check their change before walking away.
I hope management takes this seriously, investigates what happened at the food court today, and addresses these incidents appropriately. This experience has left me with a very poor impression of the establishment, and I would like to see some accountability.
Children deserve to be treated honestly and fairly, just like any other customer.
