Some stuffed birds in cases and that's pretty much it. Worst museum ever visited.
Mansfield Museum的点评
点评：First thing first. If you are not familiar with Mansfield then park in the Clumber Street car park (next to Wilko) and the museum is a short couple of minutes walk around the corner. I spent about half an hour trying to find where to park and ended up having to go through the one way system in the town. Bit of a pain, really.
The museum consists of a room filled with stuffed birds and a very small and poorly curated collection of local interest objects in the entrance area. This is it. Oh, and one toilet for men, the lock which doesn't lock.
A complete waste of time as a visitor attraction although I did see it as a well used and local space for youngsters who were engaged in various activities so a positive for the locals.
I can't really say I enjoyed my visit or not as there was literally nothing to visit.
I did ask one of the museum staff if there was an upstairs section of the museum as I could not believe that less than a handful of small rooms (only one of them with things in) as all there was to it. They told me no.
Without doubt the worst 'museum' I have visited in the UK and we were done in 20 minutes.
Friendly, helpful staff though.
