点评：I did two tours with Sunset Dhow Safari in Vilanculos: the Sunset Tour and the Bazaruto Island Tour, including snorkeling, lunch on the island, and climbing the impressive sand dunes. And honestly, I couldn’t have wished for a better experience.
I had an incredible time on both tours. We saw dolphins, a turtle, and even a dugong during the trip — such unforgettable highlights! 🐬🐢
Something I particularly appreciated is that Sunset Dhow Safari was founded by a local (which, unfortunately, is very unusual). For me, that makes the company even more special and worth supporting. It was really cool to see a local company that is run with so much professionalism, passion, and dedication.
When I travel, I personally find it incredibly important to support genuinely local businesses whenever possible. There is something much more meaningful about putting my money into a company that was built by local people, is run by local people, and creates opportunities for the local community, rather than supporting businesses primarily driven by foreign investment or foreign ownership.
You can genuinely feel the positive impact Sunset Dhow Safari has on the people who live there — it’s something you don’t just hear about, but can actually see, feel, and experience when you spend time with the team and the local community.
The communication was also exceptional. Jeff, the owner, has a very close relationship with both his guests and his staff. He is always approachable, incredibly helpful, and very flexible. You can ask him anything, and you immediately get the feeling that he genuinely cares about making sure his guests have the best possible experience. And the price is absolutely fair!
The guides were absolutely fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and at the same time relaxed and fun to be around. Everything was perfectly organized, from the communication and logistics to the actual tours and lunch. I have rarely experienced tours that were organized so professionally while still feeling so personal and welcoming.
I felt extremely comfortable and well taken care of throughout both tours. There was honestly nothing missing — everything was just perfect.
I would absolutely recommend Sunset Dhow Safari to anyone visiting Vilanculos and wanting to experience the Bazaruto Archipelago. These were two experiences I will remember for a very long time! 🌅🐬🏝️
