点评：Lake Arrowhead Village is the ultimate quick escape from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. In just about a two hour drive, you are completely transported into a stunning, alpine like setting that feels reminiscent of a lakeside village in Switzerland or somewhere deep in Europe.
The scenic drive up the mountain via the winding roads is half the fun, offering breathtaking, panoramic views of the San Bernardino area. Once you arrive, the mountain air is incredibly fresh, and the landscape is beautifully dense with massive pine trees. The village itself has the charming vibe of a small European town, it is not overwhelmingly large, but it is packed with great independent shops, local boutiques, and fantastic restaurants. For families with kids, the lakefront area is an absolute highlight. Our children loved buying fish feed to feed the abundance of ducks and fish swimming around the pond area. Keep in mind that the lake itself is private, so fishing and general water access are restricted for the general public, but hanging around the village waterfront is plenty of fun.
Pro Tip: This is a perfect year round destination. During the summer, it offers a refreshing, cool escape from the Southern California heat. In the winter, the village beautifully transforms into a snowy winter wonderland. Because Lake Arrowhead sits at a slightly lower elevation than neighboring Big Bear, the mountain drive during winter is typically much easier to navigate and less stressful.
