Smithills Hall Museum的点评
点评：Struggling to find places locally as we'd visited every national trust and English heritage site within 90 minutes of where we live Google suggested this little gem and surprisingly it wasn't national trust nor English heritage but is actually owned by Bolton Council. The volunteers who help support it are very knowledgeable and insightful with their historical knowledge, the volunteers offer a guided tour for a small fee , though entry to the hall and the grounds are free ( including the parking )
We enjoyed a few hours here visiting both inside the hall and a walk around the grounds outside and topped off our visit with a cheeky cake and hot drink from the cafe within the premises which we can definitely recommend. While not a place where you could spend the whole day , you can easily spend 3hrs here . Would recommend the hall to anyone whose interested in visiting these types of places .
