BC Ferry Trip Port Hardy to Prince Rupert

点评：We recently took the BC Ferry from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert. It is October so the weather is generally cold and wet but we actually had some really nice weather. We arrived very early to the terminal. This was not necessary. The loading is extremely slow and "painful" to watch. We ended up leaving almost an hour late but we still arrived in Prince Rupert on time. We booked a outside cabin/state room with a window and the private lounge. We had 2 single beds in our stateroom, a small desk, 2 closets, a small bathroom and shower. It was small but more than enough space for 2 people. Our beds were extremely comfortable with 2 nice comfy pillows each and fluffy comforters. The shower was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is basic BC Ferries burgers and regular all aboard breakfast menu. Expect the usual ferry food, not great and less selection then the main ferry runs. They really could "up their game" on the ferry food. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The lounge was worth the extra cost for the great view at the front of the ship. Travellers are not allowed to stay on the car deck below but approximately every 2 hours they announced 15 minutes to go downstairs if you needed to attend to a pet or get something from your vehicle. We made 2 stops on the trip but it was a night sailing so we didn't get to see the communities. We did have lots of time on the second day to see the coastline and saw some whales. We had packed some additional snack food which was great to have. Overall a very pleasant experience and we plan to do it again.
