点评：The old town of Bari is fascinating and atmospheric, very easy to walk around and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to relax in on your tour! You can see the old ladies hand rolling the orecchiette pasta and you can buy it as well.
The architecture is varied although the cathedral is very plain inside and out! However, you must visit the Basilica di Sant Nicolo where the body of the saint (better known as Father Christmas, Santa Claus) lies, having been purloined from Myra in Turkey!
The sea front area has a theatre, a castle and Santa Scolastica monastery, and a broad promenade to wander along although the traffic is noisy and endless! The monastery (now a museum) houses collections of artifacts found during archaeological excavations in the city and includes jewellery and other treasures from the Greek. Byzantine, and medieval periods.
A busy city but well worth visiting.
