点评：Visited the Llanfair Slate Caverns today and genuinely one of the strangest experiences I’ve had 😂
The place was absolutely pitch black and apart from the first cavern, it was impossible to see anything. We spent about 45 minutes wandering around underground using nothing but the torch on our phones trying to work out where we were actually supposed to be going.
Had I known I was going to need torches I would have been more prepared. I'm sure the caverns are magnificent if you can actually see them. At one point it felt less like a tourist attraction and more like an unplanned cave evacuation exercise.
The caverns themselves are interesting, but the lighting and directions seriously need improving because it was borderline impossible to navigate safely in places. If you go, make sure your phone battery is fully charged because apparently that becomes part of the entry requirements.
