点评:This is a super experience and really easy to navigate. We found it a very informative place to visit, giving a great insight in to the lives of slate miners and their families at that time. We arrived a little early, but were greeted warmly and told"just give us a few minutes and we will get you in". Super customer service right from the start. The caverns are all very different and shows some of the harshness of the environment that the men and boys had to endure.
You may read some other reviews that say this is not a good visit, or its over-priced. I will disagree wholeheartedly with all of them. When you see the way the mine is presented, lit, and the history explained the admission fee is worth every penny. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to walk through and take in the sights, sounds and information boards. When you look at the slates on roofs when you get out, you will have a very healthy respect for those who supplied them. I would say the mine is a must visit especially for children.
Thank you to the staff and owners for preserving for us to see.
