Last minute cancellation with no good reason

点评：This was meant to be our last full day in Sardinia and we were really looking forward to it. They canceled on us the afternoon before, saying the weather was going to be bad.
I do some watersports, so I know how to read a marine weather forecast. The forecast for next day was fine, across multiple sources. I also asked boat people at the marina, who confirmed that the next day was going to be 'eccellente'. I sent him a forecast by text, and asked what I was missing, but he just got angry.
In the end we booked our own self-drive boat, and all the other boat charters were also out there on the Gulf of Orosei with us. While there was, at some times, a very mild chop, with my limited experience I found several protected places to anchor, and we had a really lovely day; I'm sure an experienced skipper would have done even better! See the pic as an example.
No idea why they canceled on us - but the weather certainly wasn't it. They offered us to go the day after instead (not an option for us); but the weather forecast for that following day was far worse than the originally planned day.
A last minute cancellation genuinely because of bad weather I would fully support; but a last minute cancel for no discernible reason is really unfair on the customer.
