点评:Been going twice a year for 10 years after a gap of 20. Am very selfish and part of me does not want to share such an exquisitely beautiful experience with others not in the know. From the thrill of entering the lane at Ludham, the scrunch of the gravel in the car park, the smell of the varnish, and the warmth of the wooden boats appearance as you see these old friends brings a lump to my throat. I am not in fear of death and am comfortable with getting old but I was hit by the realisation recently, one day I will not be fit enough to sail these beauties. Maybe if I am generous enough to share with others this secret holiday I will be granted a couple of extra seasons when I get old. Quite honestly there is nowhere better to spend your leisurely hours than on a hunters yard boat. They may not have their old paraffin lamps (Rip circa 2009) but the character of these boats is undeniably unique and as the world moves on the feeling of time traveling back to simpler times get greater each year. A must for anyone that can breathe.
