10-day Omo Valley tour

点评：My wife and I went for a 10-day Omo Valley tour with Yama Tour in December 2024. Our guide was Tesfaya and our Driver Shato. Mr. Tariku helped us plan an itinerary that allowed us to visit various tribal villages, vibrant markets and national parks. The tour was well planned and organized. The transportation used was very good also. We enjoy the entire tour very much.
Unfortunately, we have to skip the Mursi Tribe. As there was a shooting incident happened before our tour. For safety reason, the authority in Ethiopia stopped all visit to the Mursi village until further notice.
We were assigned to a motel in Yabello. Upon checking in, we felt uncomfortable and unsafe. Tesfaya was quick to react to call the company to move us to a 4 stars hotel in another town.
Our flight back home on the last day was around midnight. We requested Yama to help us book a day use room to freshen up before our long flight home. Yama was kind enough to check us in to a hotel in Adis without any additional cost.
Ethiopia has electricity and water outage very frequently. Almost every day the electricity or water or both will be cut off at certain times. This has resulted the restaurant in hotel not able to server certain items on the menu such as juice, coffee, pizza and etc.
