点评：Cruising, arrived at Palma on a Sunday decided to take the vintage train on the spur of the moment. The Tourists Information Centre was very near disembarkation. We were advised that a train leaves from the station at 10:10am and to catch the 14:00hrs RETURN train in order to join our cruise. We were advised to get a cab as the walking distance to the station was approximately 30mins, the taxi rank was very close by and cost around €10 euros. We purchased a return ticket for the train €30 the journey is approximately 70mins, after 60mins the train stops at a viewing platform so you can get off and take pictures, then the onward journey to Soller. We had a stroll around and thought we could walk to the Port of Soller, big mistake huge. We got totally lost finally arrived at the port which was beautiful. Time was running out and we had to get back to Soller to catch the 2pm train. We decided to take the tram a 30min journey. Unfortunately the tram wasn’t due until 14:00 hrs so we missed our return on the train back to Palma and the port. We thought nothing of it we would get the next train, the next train was not until 17:15hrs. We had to be back on board ship at 17:30hrs our nightmare began. No cabs no, busses in sight it was Sunday. After a very stressful experience we arrived back in Palma at the ship at 17:00. Our advise would be to either take the cruise excursion or be mindful of the day and time, and definitely get the combination train and tram ticket, getting off the train walk down and get on the tram to Port of Soller. Alternatively get a one way ticket on the train and tram, and possibly a cab from Port of Soller back to Palma City centre if cruising and time is restricted. Happy exploring
