Cairo Top Tours的点评
点评：I had a terrific day with Isaac Megally on a private tour organized through Cairo Top Tours. We drove to Sakkara to see the Serapeum, a spot off most tour itineraries, and we had the great fortune to be the only ones inside. Isaac knew the place well and was good at conveying its mystery. We stopped at the Step Pyramid, and the adjacent Pyramid of Unas (be sure to go inside, it’s easy compared to most), followed by the Bent Pyramid and Red Pyramid (a tough climb inside but nearly empty, and a much better experience than the Great Pyramid).
After a quick run out to Memphis to see part of the open museum, Isaac took me to the Museum of Civilization. After an informative tour of the main gallery, I paid my respects to the royal mummies in the lower level, a “don’t miss” stop when in Cairo.
We shared a buffet lunch (it felt like a local’s place) near the museum, and chatted like neighbors. Isaac both knows his subject matter and is good company. I would not hesitate to request him for another tour.
He can conduct tours in English, Spanish, and Russian.
I was impressed, too, by Mustafa, our driver’s ability to successfully navigate Cairo traffic and the road to Giza and Dashour around trucks, cars, motorcycles, and the occasional donkey and cart.
