点评:A great beach and ideal place to come to visit if you would rather avoid a commercial beach environment.
The facilities locally are great. Small arcade, cafe, pub, bistro, fish and chip shop, beach shop & nisa.
We've been coming for 6 years and found it to be quieter beach area than other Norfolk beaches.
You can see the occasional seal in the water.
This bank holiday with the heatwave is the busiest we've ever seen it. (May 2026).
If you head past the council carparks down to the The Marrams you can find additional parking in fields for around £4 for the day.
The beach is sandy and when the tide is out there is lots of room. When the tide comes in there isn't much sand area left so on busy days it can become crowded.
For dogs you can either if facing the sea on the slip way go to the right of the slip way and that's dog friendly or head down to The Marrams and where the £4 car parks are there is wooden steps going up and over the dunes (where eco burrito area is) and this cove area is also dog friendly. The bit between is dog restricted between May and September.
This is definitely worth noting if you don't like dogs or would rather be in a area that's a dog free zone.
When the tide is out you can wonder around the rock pools and find crabs, star fish, jellyfish and lobsters.
It's also a great beach to find sea glass.
You also need to be careful and aware where the rip tides are in the beach and avoid these.
