点评:I really enjoyed this show. The presentation was quite different to anything I've been to before. You move from giant room to giant room (it is all indoors). The performers appear all over the place, and the audience is part of the performance just by being there.
As a non-Chinese speaker, I would love it if they had an audio translation that we could listen to whilst it was on, but there really wasn't many non-Chinese audience members so I can't blame them for not investing in that technology.
There is no seating for the first hour. The final half hour there is seating. So be prepared to stand, watch and walk. It's not ideal for elderly or those needing mobility assistance for those reasons. There was some stairs to navigate as well as being very busy the time I went.
If I took the time to understand the story beforehand it would have been even better, but it was amusing to try and guess what was going on from the acting.
Afterwards there are plenty of 'buses' you can catch back into the Ancient City if you are staying in there.
I would defintely recommend it as a cultural experience, especially as it is about the local history, but don't go if you don't want to/unable to stand up for a long time period or you don't speak Chinese and that would frustrate you. We knew going in that would be the case, so we were prepared, and were glad we went and experienced it.
