Ancient Stadium of Philippopolis的点评
点评：We have visited the antcient theater of Phillippopolis on Friday, September 4th, 2026, as a family, 2 adults and 2 kids.
We have parked the car at TsentarPlovdiv Center, ul. "Mitropolit Panaret" 33-37, 4000 Plovdiv - just on the other side of the street from the Ancient Eastern Gate of Philippopolis. It is a 15 min walk, half of it pretty steep up, on slippery rocks paving the road to the Ancient Theater and then going down to the stadium. The parking costed 1.5 euro per hour, we have paid for 2 hours, as we planned to visit the Eastern Gates, the Stadium and to take a walk on Plovdiv central promenade street.
The stadium can be admired from the above, but there are stairs if someone wants to go to the bottom of it (somehow below street level). It looks what is left is just a small part of the antcient stadium, there is a replica in miniature in the plaza of the whole stadium
This a free attraction, with no entrance fees and it is easily accessible from the center.
