点评:Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon was the final stop of a day that was filled with many of the South Coast's famous attractions including Reynisfjara and Vík. By the time we arrived around 5pm, the small parking lot was pretty full but there was a good number of cars coming and leaving. Parking (1000 ISK) is paid through the Parka app but the internet coverage is a little spotty so it will take some time.
The trail is fairly steep, but laid down with rubber mats to prevent erosion and slipping. There are two main viewpoints on the trail, with the second one ending with views of Mögáfoss. All along the hike, you get sweeping views of the canyon, with moss-covered rocks and grassy slopes dotted with wildflowers. At the time of my visit, the river was looking pretty dry so the views, while spectacular, were not as scenic as I imagined. You do gain a good amount of elevation while hiking so I would recommend bringing a light layer as it can be quite windy at the top.
