点评:On our drive from Minneapolis to Green Bay, some locals suggested we stop in Wabasha, Minnesota, to visit the National Eagle Center. That turned out to be one of the best tips of our trip!
Wabasha is a small town, but the center is quite a find. It’s home to eagles that have been rehabilitated but cannot return to the wild, and visitors have the opportunity to see these remarkable birds up close.
We attended an educational session where the handler brought out Latch, a 10-year-old bald eagle. What a treat! Seeing him from just a short distance gave us a whole new appreciation for these birds. We were completely caught up in watching him and listening to the handler explain more about eagles.
If you’re traveling anywhere near Wabasha, we highly recommend making the stop. We went because someone suggested it, and now we’re happily passing that recommendation along. It’s well worth your time!
