点评:After the very steep & very winding roadway up to the hilltop, 3 generations of us had a nice midday visit here. Views of distant mountains & the horizon on one side are beautiful & the city-town of Charlottesville are on the other. In between, we passed by the large apple orchard as we walked further up the steep hill to the sprawling orchards where our grandsons had a good time twisting off a bagful of peaches ($15 for a small bag). (Watch out for the poison ivy that happily grows between the lines of trees). After, we all had very good peach flavored soft ice cream, peach Bellinis & the great views of even more orchards. Lots of picnic tables to enjoy the snacks & views from. There is a busy & densely-outfitted retail store, an outdoor market selling bags of peaches & peach-related items & Bold Rock Cider has a selling space behind the main building.
