Nestled right on the slopes of Table Mountain, it feels a world away from the city, wrapping you in a deep green canopy of towering pine and indigenous trees as soon as you step onto the trails.
We loved walking along the pathways, listening to the rushing water of the fresh mountain streams, and crossing the wooden bridges. The forest floor is covered in lush ferns and moss, making it feel like something straight out of a storybook. It’s incredibly popular with locals walking their dogs or trail running, creating a wonderfully safe, community-centric, and upbeat energy. The paths range from easy, shaded strolls to challenging uphill hikes that connect further up the mountain. If you want a breath of fresh mountain air, beautiful river scenery, and total tranquility, this is a 5-star must-visit.
