点评:On a road trip from Asheville to Raleigh, we stopped along the way to check out a local historic landmark that can only be seen in North Carolina. It is the last remaining Shell service station built in a three-dimensional shell shape, one of eight constructed in the area during the 1930s to advertise and sell Shell Oil. The bright yellow and red building is a small, one-story, 18-foot structure that only houses a small office and a restroom. In addition to the two gas pumps in front, there is a white replica carwash, a black service ramp, and a yellow and red shed on the left side of the building. Don't forget to peek inside the windows while visiting! We parked for FREE on Peachtree Street and walked across the road to visit the attraction. Allow about 5 minutes to look around and take some pictures.
