Calming surroundings in a protected area

点评：Lysterfield Park was a fantastic area to relax. From the carpark many pathways meandered through the woods showcasing native plants species. We did not have to walk far to be greeted by a mob of Kangaroos who were freely grazing in the grassy stretches. There were plenty of the Kangaroos below the dam site too. We saw many bird species and among them was a pair of Kookaburra’s that kept us entertained with their laughing call. Among the other birds were the green Swift parrots, Little Pied and Black cormorant, Purple coot, Eurasian coot, Masked lapwing or plover, Gulls, Australian wood ducks and Noisy miner. The walk across the dam gave us a beautiful view of the entire lake and the bathing area close to the dam was shallow and perfect for a swim. It was completely a calming environment and the flora and fauna in this wild habitat was enhancing the experience we had.
