GETTING FROM FUSINA TO VENICE (JULY 2025)

点评：If you google something like "get from Fusina to Venice", you'll find that little reliable information from 2025 seems to exist, and what does exist from 2024 suggests that one is practically stranded in Fusina.
Thankfully that is no longer true!
Now there is a small boat dock right on the cruise pier! It is a permanent structure with a guardhouse etc. I don't believe that it is a full-time vaporetto (water bus) stop, but our cruise line had arranged for several return trips to the lagoon from this dock via vaporetto.
It is also possible for a privately arranged tour to use this dock. We had an overnight in Fusina and I had previously organized a private tour (LivTours--HIGHLY recommend them) which sent a private water taxi which picked us up and brought us back to the same dock at the cruise pier.
At departure/debarkation, there were literally dozens of black cars that had been privately arranged for transfers, all waiting immediately outside of the cruise terminal. They obviously can get in. This is how we debarked (I had booked a private transfer from VQTravels--also a HIGHLY recommended service).
There was a well-marked taxi "booth" (not permanent) right outside the terminal. I didn't watch the process but I imagine the fellow manning it was calling taxis on his cell phone to come in and pick up parties.
Things at Fusina are seriously better than in 2024. There still is absolutely nothing to see in Fusina itself, but at least you can get somewhere else from there.
