Amazon Rescue Center的点评
点评：We visited this rescue center on the way back to the airport at the end of our Amazon cruise trip. This center is specialized in rescuing animals native to the Amazons from black market and/or from nature if they are severely injured, giving them treatment until they are ready to be back to the nature and to let them free. The center is in close collaboration with many NGOs around the world.
The visit was very interesting for me as I saw many animals for the first time in my life. Though the place is promoted mainly for manatees, there are many other species that are as interesting such as capybaras, toucans, tiny monkeys etc. The flora is as interesting as the animals.
I understand it's not allowed to walk around on your own and there is a guide giving the visitors information about both the animals and the center. You can also make donations. There is also a souvenir shop at the entrance.
