绿山动物园的点评
点评：Pro: we enjoyed the experience of feeding the elephants and giraffes. Monkeys aren’t running wild (watch personal items, especially with food). Up close encounters.
Cons: the animals aren’t in good conditions. The penguins are in a small and old enclosure. It’s very dirty and you really can’t see them well.
There is an elephant that has tusks and seems to be chained. The others are clearly distressed, evident by their movements of their trunk. You will be told they are happy but it’s not.
Are we glad we went, yes. Would we recommend, yes but with warning. Coming from NC with the largest zoo and seeing the difference, it was emotional for me. But I respected that this is not the same situations.
If coming for Moo Deng, expect that to find her past the baby stage. She really didn’t move around much but it was part of what motivated us to come.
It’s an easy day trip out of the city.
