Good bits and others not so good, something here for everyone - worth a visit
Marina de Vilamoura的点评
点评：Tuesday 14th October and we walked around this Marina.
We entered the Marina from alongside the Irish Pub then turned right along the quay in the Marina down as far as Pier Q by Restaurant Vilamoura Marina.
From Pier Q we then walked back along the quay as far as Centro de Congressos do Algarve and the Illustrious Navigator Sculpture (Sailor Statue). The Marina is also home to the Tivoli Hotel.
We continued on walking down Almeda Praia de Marina ending up at the Sketchy Crab Sculpture and Praia de Vilamoura.
So we basically walked the length of the Marina. We found the quayside olined with bars, shops and restaurants, some were more upmarket than others. They catered for casual tourists like us as well as those who had moored their boats in the Marina. The restaurants and bars catered for every budget and wallet.
In fact we thought some of the bars were a bit seedy and full of loud half naked tourists.
The berths in the Marina were filled with a variety of yachts of all shapes and sizes, some were mighty impressive. They were alongside boats providing tours and trips as well as a water taxi service. Also dotted around were a number of fishing boats.
There were numerous kiosks along the quayside selling a variety of fishing, sunset and boat tours.
As always a favourite part of our holiday is finding the colourful, wacky and unusual, this Marina did not fail to deliver. The oddities mixed with usual features in the Marina certainly made it an interesting visit.
